Religion In Gujarat

Gujarat is high on Holy Tourism due to its beginning of all-embracing religious faith, which ranges from caste to caste. The most important faiths followed are Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism. Muslim Religion, Christianity, Parsi, Sindhi, and many other faiths are followed across Gujarat.

The primary deity of the Hindus of Gujarat is Lord Krishna. He is worshipped throughout the state through Shrinathji. Besides Hindus, Gujarat is also home to several Muslims and Jains. Muslims represent about 9.1% of the population, while Jains form nearly 1.0%. Sikhs are relatively few in number, representing only 0.1% of the population. This diversity highlights the social variety in Gujarat.

Like all other states of India, Gujarat is also populated by people of different faiths, castes, and creeds. It is one of the most developing states of India and provides job opportunities for the youth. Consequently, individuals from across the nation have settled in the region. The majority of Gujarat’s population adheres to Hinduism, with 89.1% of the population consisting of Hindus. They are mostly traditional and follow a vegetarian diet. As significant business activities thrived in Gujarat during ancient times, a considerable number of Parsi Zoroastrians are also found here.
