About Somnath Temple

The Somnath temple, located in the Junagarh district of Gujarat, is believed to be the first jyotirlinga among all the jyotirlingas. This beautiful temple is one of the two temples located on the coast of Gujarat. Though the temple is worshipped for Lord Shiva, according to some beliefs, Lord Krishna also visits the temple once in a year.

Though there is no specific time at which you can visit the temple, the best time to reach the temple is during the winter season. You can enjoy the journey to the fullest in the winter season.
